Hey guys.
I watch a lot of YouTube and am always looking out for more and interesting people to follow. No particular topic, titles or themes, just some options and suggestions.
I love

and a bunch more but not so interesting or active
My top favorites, Rhett and Link, good mythical morning, good mythical morr, Shayne, Shayne dawsen tv, Sia's love sia's life (all in one), oysterlover, hd piano, and singer channels. that's it. oh yeah, potterPuppetPals!
Oh I forgot all about Shayne dawsen I will have to go add him.
Thanks
If you're into college students, Jayla Koriyan is one of my favorite people right now. I watch others, but I don't really care for them as much, and plus, I'm just catching on to watching vloggers and stuff, so.
oh I forgot. John green, vlog brothers, wasabi productions, and other stuff that I forgot the name of. :d
It's been a bit since I've been able to do anything with youtube. But, I have heard some really bad, as in lame, jokes. And, the animal and little kid ones are my favorite. When the dad tore up the rejection letters, and his son couldn't stop laughing.
The ones with cats and dogs trying to say something,
animals doing funny things...
I wish I could record my kitty, and show her on Youtube. Even someone who can't see, can hear her sliding down the wall.
God Bless,
Sarah
lol
Ooo John Green, I need to go subscribe to him. :)
I haven't subscribed to his channel but I use his videos to help me with history and science stuff.
Lets see here.
Laci Green.
Sexplanations with Lindsey Doe.
Vlog brothers.
crash course, especially history, literature, philosophy and history plus.
Mental floss.
Nicole Arbour.
the nostalgia critic.
The double agent.
Todd in the shadows.
Jaclyn Glen.
Honest trailers.
And there's a comedian I like who records his shows and puts up clips of him
talking back to hecklers that is hilarious, but I can't remember his name off the
top of my head.
For me:
Adoseofbuckley: Crude and amusing – though also somewhat annoying – social/musical/pop culture commentator. He seems like he pretty much hates everything, but I do agree with some things he says. His voice and amount of vulgarity bother me, though occasionally they add to his appeal. Occasionally.
Brentalfloss: He is a very talented musical artist who sings a lot of parodies of videogame music. Very good, amusing at times, and a little more vulgar than I’d like at others. He also does some pretty fantastic impressions; clearly a man of many talents.
Lypur: This guy teaches Piano, and he does a pretty good job at it too.
Planet Dolan and Planet Dolan gaming, channels that have a lot of countdowns which can be anything from really creepy, to interesting. My favorite has to be the top ten creepiest things a child has ever said.
Miracleofsound. This guy is actually amazing. He writes, composes, sings and produces all his own music, and it is usually thematic pieces based on video games; mostly newer ones. He sings a wide variety of styles, and he suffers from pretty bad tinidis if I recall. He also has some non-video game metal stuff which is pretty good too.
Screen Junkies and Smosh Games – these I enjoy for their honest trailers and honest game trailers, which are often very amusing “trailers” of movies, shows and video games. Always great for a laugh.
Toddintheshadows: Thanks to Cody for this one. This guy is a more fare and less angry musical critic. His videos are a commitment, as he tends to go on for a while, but they are very interesting and add some sometimes amusing or interesting insight into today’s popular music, along with some of the one-hit wonders we all forgot about. One thing about this channel however: it gets attacked by copywrite restrictions a lot. Some of his videos you really need to jump through hoops to watch.
Watchmojo: another top ten channel particularly dealing with movies, but also music, videogames and comics. Very interesting much of the time, and a little something for everyone. I’ve actually unsubscribed from this one, only because they actually come out with too much good content, and it ususally isn’t short. Great if you have time and enjoy the subject matter.
Lindsay Stirling: What can I say? If I wasn’t married, and she wasn’t way out of my league, She’d be the closest thing to a celebrity crush I’ve had since Allison Hannigan. She plays music and dances. Her music is a cross between classic violin and more electronic. It’s very unique, and she often covers other people’s songs and video game music in addition to her own original pieces. She also seems to embrace the gaming community. She also just seems like a nice person in a place where so many seem so angry and vulgar. She’s also pretty darn cute, and she’s LDS, so … yeah, pretty fantastic.
Creepy News: Exactly what it sounds like. Don’t let the guy’s accent turn you off, the stories he discusses are morbid, and very interesting. If you like real-world horror, he’s great.
Someordinarygamers: This guy does a whole lot, but I primarily enjoy his Deep Web Exploration series. The deep web is very interesting to me.
I’ve got others, but as Youtube isn’t accessible to me right this moment, I can’t check. I do follow the Reaper Blog for hints, tips and trips on Reaper, a fantastic digital audio workstation which is … reasonably accessible. I’m primarily into stuff having to do with horror, audio production, music making, gaming and social/pop culture commentary.
Some of my favorites are:
WatchMojo
list25
Planet Dolan
TheRichest
In One Lesson
REACT
Mental Floss
Rob Dyke
There are some other channels I am subscribed to, but I haven't watched them in awhile.
Heey, another subscriber of Planet Dolan and Watch Mojo. Nice.
I know about Creepy News but have not listened to anything lately. It's exactly this kind of stuff I'm trying to steer clear of. The last Creepy Scary News Story episode I listened to was about Lizzie Borden.
There is also plenty of material posted by urban explorers that I have listened to. However I am not sure if there is a channel dedicated to urban exploration. Urbex had several videos on there from what I remember. Which also reminds me, I'm currently attempting to get through Creepers by David Morrell - the same author who created John Rambo, the protagonist in First Blood.
I have also listened to quite a few videos that discuss orienteering, graffiti, and a lot posted by Forbidden Archeology, but I consider the latter entertaining more than scientific. Also not sure if Forbidden Archeology is a tv show or if the creators are You Tubers. There is an entertaining book available on Bookshare about this same subject.
There are a lot of informative videos and documentaries as well, for film buffs or book worms. But nowadays I simply read the papers like the Grey Lady to keep myself posted on the latest
Anyhow, I don't visit Youtube quite often as I used to.
The ones who don't make video ads.
You mean use video ads? That's most youtubers these days, either in order to generate some revenue for themselves, or because they're blatently or secondarily using content created by someone else, and that person or entity wants to make money, rather than flatly banning their content from being used. Most ads can still be skipped though.
I checked out Shayne dawsen again and what has happened to him?
I remember way back when he had a few people who would help him with his videos and they were funny then. Now it is like he fell in to a whole or something. I am sure he is the same guy.
There are a lot I like but do not subscribe to because they put out to many videos and only 1 out of every 6 I care to watch.
It is like they have 6 different things going on with one channel. different people and everything on each video.
How can I skip them when they're like a million times louder than jaws so I can't hear what I'm doing?
I use my iPhone for youtube.
I would suggest to press control insirt F to bring up your find diolog box, type in the word pause, then press enter. It should take you to the pause button then you can just press enter to pause the add making it possible to hear what your trying to do.
Youtube on iPhone for me too. Youtube has just gotten gross on the computer since I began using it. Also, yes, many people on youtube gets paid major money to entertain us now.
true
And so they should. That stuff takes a lot of effort and time to make. Since I doubt many of us would want to pay for it, they have to make money somehow. I still use Uplayer for my Iphone. Works better than the native Youtube app, and far fewer adds. Used to be none at all, but now they have a few here and there.
I love this topic so much. Let's see. Phillip DeFranco is awesome!!! He puts up
videos every day of news stories with his own take on them, and he's just so
real. The Young Turks are wonderful as well. I like a few weed tubers,
CustomGrow420, StrainCentral, and SilencedHippy are my faves. Love
WatchMojo and this guy Rocko Vaglika. He's so Italian that you wonder if he's
even real. His political views aren't mine, but he's the perfect characature of a
New York Italian. lol. Dash, who's this loud ass Dominican guy who reviews
video games. He's so over the top it's hilarious. PopSugar celebrity and
hollywire are great too. Then, of course there are the singer channels, Serbia is
absolutely amazing and the late great Christina Grime.
I like Good Mythical Morning and all things related. Also the Talking Kitty Cats. Chugaaconroy is good for gaming. AwesomeFaceProd is good for gaming too. Matthew Santoro, WatchMojo, List 25. More I can't think of right now...
Love WatchMojo. I'll have to check out some of these others. I use YouTube on my phone so I can skip the ads. that, and it makes my computer run slowly. Much better on the phone.
I don't get it. I can skip Youtube ads on my laptop. Usually you have to wait 5 seconds or so, but yeah. Admittedly, most of the ads I see are only 15-30 seconds long.
I don't watch Youtube a whole ton, but a couple channels I like are:
Thechesswebsite - pretty comprehensive straightforward analysis of famous chess games and openings
- Masaeanela (for gaming, if you like that sort of thing)
WatchMojo (don't always agree with their lists, but I like them generally)
I've read through this thread, though, and plan to have a gander at a few that have gotten my interest.
I think list25 was better 1 or 2 years ago. Their contents are less interesting now.
I am subscribed to top lists. They make top10 countdown videos.
I also watch the slap train who makes gameplay videos usually about racing games.
Lets see.
